Season 1- Coaches (2)

The Blind Auditions are the first phase in the competition for The Voice out of three. In this part of the show, the coaches have no idea who is singing for them as their backs are completely turned, meaning they don't know if the artist is male/female, how old they are or what they look like.

The singer comes out and sings their selected song to the back of the coach's chairs to try and convince them to press their button and turn around. On the front of the mentor's chairs is a button that once pressed, makes their chair turn around and tells the singer that they want them on their team. If a coach turns around it means that the singer is automatically on their team but if more than one turns their chair, the decision is put into the artist's hands. They get to pick who will be their mentor and which team they will be joining.
